DBWI: Board gaming doesn't overtake computer gaming

We all know what happened during the second computer game crash. Computer game companies still haven't recovered more than a year on and board gaming as now filled the gap. We've all been entertained by EA's failure to crack the board gaming market.

What do you think of the crash and how would things have been without it?

Well you have to understand the crash was and still is an American phenomena. Europe and especially Japan both have thriving computer gaming markets. Since the second crash was caused just like the first, hugely over-hyped movie tie-in games which failed to deliver. It seems the legacy of E.T. was not considered when doing this at the time

Well, kind of awkward actually, GW was originally based on Britain, but due to 98% of their billions worth sales being dome in North America, they moved their HQ there in early 2000s, while the original Games Workshop in Britain now end up as some sort of nostalgia shop and function effectively as mere branch.

I wonder if some Japanese computer game company would move to America if they are far more popular there.
