I know we get the "Who do you think the best President" type threads alot here, but I've never seen one done for just post-watergate Presidents. In case you've forgotten any, here is a list...

(R)Gerald R. Ford, 1974-1981
(D)Edmund Gerald "Jerry" Brown,1981-1989
(D)Mario M. Cuomo,1989-1993
(R)Jack F. Kemp,1993-2001
(R)John S. McCain,2001-2005
(D)Howard B. Dean,2005-2009
(R)Willard "Mitt" Romney,2009-Present

I wasn't sure if I should include Romney, bu he has been in office for over a year now, so I don't see why not.

So, of the men on the list, who do you think did the best job as POTUS?

I think I would have to go with Ford, since I think he did a really good job of bringing the country together after watergate. Either him or Brown for his work with the former Soviet Union and getting the ball rolling on Universal Healthcare.

poll to come.

Definitely Brown. While it's likely a stretch to say that he single-handedly ended the Cold War, his foreign policy sure did help it.

The Moonbeam, of course. Why, if he hadn't been around the Soviet Union would still be around, and Eastern Europe would still be shackled by communist slavery.

I shudder to think what would have happened if that senile old actor Reagan had won in '80! Good thing for us that Brown's victory over him made LBJ's win in '64 look narrow by comparison. :D

Brown is the first president I remember, incidentally, since I was born in '83.:)

This is not a DBWI. A Double Blind What If talks about OTL from an ATL perspective. This is a role-playing thread.
