DBWI bad Iran Israel relations

During the Iran Iraq war Israel provided material and intelligence support to Iran. In a war many Iranians feel was a war of national survival. After wards the countries leaders the ones who didn't die in the bombings re established reconition of Israel, rebuilt trade relations and has made an effort to be if not allies at least friendly to Israel, some thing Israel has returned.

But what if this piece of real poltic didn't happen what would our world look like if the two countries had bad relations?

Maybe have the Islamists overthrow the Shah rather than the Republicans during the revolution? The Republicans wanted to have decent relations with the west despite their history due to fear of a communist/islamist uprising and remain independent in the cold war, while the islamists despised the west and wanted to cut relations with them almost completely. Have them win, and you probably get an Iran with tense relations with not just Israel, but perhaps the majority of the west.

Well I suppose if the Soviets had not backed Iraq after the killing at the embassy the US would not have supported Iran as much and funnelled so much kit via Israel, no mid west churches raising funds to help the faithful even if not Christian fight the atheist Communist horde?

Well, since Jews have lived relatively good under Persian rule, this had a strong historic background to base in.

Also, Iran and Israel were always threatened by pan-arabist dominance so it was a natural alliance against Iraq, Syria and other Arab nations.

Well the Islamists (along with the communists and republicans) did, they just got out maneuvered in the following power struggle (though, not as badly as the communists who were completely wiped out).

which brings me to my answer,

No Iran-Iraq war. Not only is there no pragmatic alliance with Israel, but there's also no crisis and rally-around-the flag-effect that allowed the moderates to marginalize the Islamists.

A second Iran-Iraq war, with things going even worse for Iran this time. Iran already lost a good chunk of Khuzestan in the first war.
No decapitation of PLO, that was done with Iranian assistance.
The Assads would have been deposed too, with good chunk of Syria breaking off and joining Saddam. No peacebetween Syria and Israel. Israeli Golan would be larger, if there was no reason for Israel to return a significant part of it to Syria.
And finally, the Gulf and Iraq would control almost all of the oil production in the Middle East.
