DBWI Asquith lives through the great war

Suppose the Gotha had not jettisoned its bombs on the house party which had the Premier that Septbember night in 1916, what would have happened to British and World Politics.

I have heard wild stories about tories trying to force out our martyred premier but surely that could not have happend could it?

Could Asquith had dominated UK politics in the 1920s even more than Lloyd George did?

This has been done many times on here, but as it's one of my favourite Pods, I can't complain.

I think Asquith remaining in office probably leads to a quicker Allide victory, probably around August 1918, rather than October in OTL. The change at the top of government was the last thing we needed at such a crucial time.

That's assuming Asquith manages to remain until the end of the war at least. If the roomours about that potential plot to replace Asquith with Lloyd George are true though, we get PM Lloyd George a few months later, as a result of a cabinet vote of no confidence rather than an untimely death. This could cause the Libs serious problems in the years ahead if their is a visible split between Lloyd George and Asquith, various liberal ministers were reluctant to except Lloyd George as PM as it was post Asquith. A divided party certainly won't be able to win the snapp election after the war the way Lloyd George did in OTL. In fact, we could be looking at 20 or so continuous years of conservative rule-imagine a UK without Sinclairism in the 1930's!

I really can't see Labour being able to overtake the Liberals in seats (as others sometimes speculate), but a split would probably make the (often public) in-fighting within the Grimond administration in the 60's look tame by comparrison.

Assuming for a moment that Asquith remains without a challenge, how does he deal with the peace conference.
