DBWI: Anime in a demilitarized Japan

In the drawdown of WW2, I believe the American intention for Japan was to force Japan to become something of an Asian Germany (post-war Germany, of course). Clearly plans changed during the Peninsular War and in the landwars of Asia and India that dominated the mid-century, but what would everyone's favorite Japanese cartoons had been like had Japan been forced into pacifism?

well it's probable that anime movies and shows would incorporate pacifistic and anti-military themes. I know that seems ASB after last year's riots after the president of South Korea implied that the Japanese military had committed atrocities during their occupation, but if Japan were forced to become pacifist, that ideology might be promoted through the popular media.

Possibly Osamu Tezuka would have focused on those strange sci-fi one-shot mangas he made rather than his better known war-themed ones?

I'd guess they'd never conquer Australia and New Zeland. So no caucasians in anime with Japanese names. No caucasians in anime at all.

Why would they necessarily be all that different? My understanding is that manga/anime after WWII were violent because the general culture was forced to be pacifist, which is what you're proposing here, just sooner.
