Well, I suppose we've thrashed this out enough...but still, I couldn't resist. Is it plausible, in any way, for the D-Day operation to succeed? And if it was a success, is it at all plausible for the Western powers campaign into France to be any thing of a success? What would be the probable butterflies if this were to occur? Perhaps we wouldn't see France and Paris divided into Communist and Western blocs, for example. Though, as we have overall agreed, it would be impossible for the Western allies to advance beyond the Rhine. Would the Soviets be a reforming boom economy if they hadn't advanced and dominated so much of Europe?
OOC:BTW, n00bs, DBWI means we pretend we exist in a universe where said even(D-Day succes in this case) didn't occur, for whatever reason.
