DBWI: Abraham Lincoln gets reelection in 1864

Well, McClellan entered into a ceasefire with the South, which he should have known would led to independence for the Confederacy. Had Lincoln won, he would surely have continued the war, notwithstanding the defeats the Union suffered in the summer of 1864. Many historians argue that the South was well on the way to defeat by late 1864 anyway, their manpower being close to exhausted and their economy falling apart.

It's weird to imagine the United States remaining united. The whole course of the next century-and-a-half would have been different.

I know. I mean, think about what would have happened if slavery had ended in 1867, after the Confederates had been crushed, instead of it being around today! But that couldn't have happened, because the white race is noble and strong and the black race deserves labor.

And think about the consequences. The British might have expanded that so called "Franchise" to common folk; for absolute sure that experimental form of "Democracy" would have continued. Instead, that sad farce known as the United States, neither united nor a state, would just limp along, ruled by Robber Barons that turned into its own ruling class until they give up on the annoying requirements of so-called popular rule and simply rule by Executive Order.

By humiliating and ultimately discrediting the United States, destroying the lie that all men are created equal, and leading to a new just order based on productivity, social control and maximization of wealth, I think every capitalist owes Jefferson Davis a toast. But the next best thing is going to Georgia and "Buying" a slave girl for 24 hours--I encourage you all to try it, it's great.

All men are created equal.

I don't think we can just handwave a Lincoln victory in 1864; his political fate by then was intricately tied to success or failure on the battlefield, so we have to first determine how the course of the war changed to allow his victory.

Off the top of my head, maybe Sheridan's forces aren't routed in the Shennadoah Valley?

All men are created equal.

...but not all are men.

What does that mean?

It's tripe, nonsense language proven false by a humiliated figure that destroyed his society, his culture, and even the ideology he claimed to create.

People aren't equal, they're aren't created with inalienable rights and the triumph of Racial Hierarchy over such tripe would lead the world into a better future. If a slave doesn't work, kill it and sell its organs for money. If a laborer tries to strike, shoot it, or fire it and prevent it from working again, and take its property away for the damages it causes.

Humanity has always divided itself into heroic figures and useless chaff. Capitalism has removed the trappings of family, blood and divine right from the equation, allowing the best people to win through direct competition.

When the Confederacy won, they didn't just win their freedom, they won the argument; equality is bullshit. History doesn't remember the State's Rights banner that was raised, the weak reasons for actually leaving the Union, or even the forgotten phrases of the smallest tall man of the pre-Convention United States; what it remembers is what that war was about slavery, about building a nation where all men are created equal has been discarded as the lie it has always been.

Good riddance! We beat our wives, whip our slaves and threaten our workers, and that's the way God wills it. I can't imagine there being a better way to live on Earth and so help me and lunatic Libberbulll would tries to claim that people aren't property has been drinking motor oil.
