DBWI: A unified Korea

Today, the Korean Empire claims the Japanese Kankoku prefectures as its own, on the basis that before the Tragedy of 1905 as they call the Treaty of Portsmouth, the southern portion of the Peninsula was indeed part of a unified Korea.

China, who wishes to reclaim Taiwan and Macau from Japan, supports Korea's claim, as does the Irish Republic. Britain serves as Japan's biggest advocate on the international stage.

Aside from 1905, what opportunities could lead to a unified Korea? Bonus points in Korea is independent rather than Japanese.

Butterfly America's animosity towards Britain; that caused them to prop up a strong Japan against the Russian Empire in the Second Russo-Japanese War as a counterweight to British influence in Asia.

Also, stop Alaskan meddling in that whole area; I'm sure Sarah Palin has caused more problems there than the rest of the world put together, given that she's essentially managed to start the Scottish Insurgency again as "punishment" for Bridgen's imposition of sanctions. Don't do Mosleyism, kids. At least the Kamchatkan Soviets have stopped warmongering over Sakhalin; if I hear Ian Bone and the rest of the Revolutionary Militant Socialist League start up with their "Nuke Pyongyang" talk again... Between him and that racist twat from Luton and his "English People's Front", I've nearly gone insane.
