DBWI: 2 Hit Titans Ministry fizzles out, others soon to follow.

I heard some of Al Jericho's side projects with Gary Numan. It was something dark, heavy and new. You've simply never heard of music like this before.

He also used his legal name of Al Jourgenson rather than Al Jericho, due to legal pressures from his label. What could have been for Ministry if they went the direction of Al Jourgenson's vision. Yeah, they wouldn't have had a top 10 hit with "Revenge" in 1983 and a top 20 hit with "She Has Cause" in 1984, but they'll still have some underground success. Al Jericho didn't like the direction the band was going in 1984 and collaborated with some darker new wave acts such as Gary Numan. In 1987, Ministry announced their breakup after lackluster sales on their second album "Sugar Plums and Bitterness" in 1985. Al Jericho still plays a few nostalgia shows, and he's huge in the UK. But he'll never get mainstream success again.

The title track from Al Jericho's solo work "Twitch", which he collaborated with fellow flash in the pan New Wave sensation Gary Numan became an underground darling. But what could have been if Al Jericho and Ministry changed genres?

What if one hit wonder Depeche Mode made a genre shift?
