Suddenly the German Reich is some kind of democracy. One year ago, the NSDAP led all parts of German society, was the sole ruling party. But then, they broke up into several splinter groups. And now there are elections for the Reichstag. Although the campaign was rather polemic (Well, Germany is not used to democracy.), an estimated 90% of the Reichs population wants to go to the polls. Anyway, here are the parties:
Nationale Partei Deutschland (NPD): Formed from the labour-wing of the former NSDAP. They also claim to be the true heir of the NSDAP, because they have most of it's old base in their party. Although they want to create a "New National Democracy". They have led a fierce fight, especially against the NDU, or the NLP.
National-Demokratische Union (NDU): Includes the "higher" members of the NSDAP. They also have some support from business-owners, since they want to establish a policy of deregulation. Still, they want to maintain Germany's rule over Europe, although they want to strengthen ties with US.
National-Liberale Partei (NLP): The intellectual circle from the old NSDAP. They want to establish a democracy by western standards in Germany, and also extend the rights of the foreigners in the Reich. But they want to deregulate the economy too, so there might be a coalition with the NDU.
Blut und Boden Bewegung (BBB): The "Blood and Soil Movement" a formed from small to middle-sized farmers, but also from small parts of the enviromental movement. They fight against the sellings of their lands, and demand a land reform, for the benefit of the small farmers. They also demand higher investments in ecological technology.
Neue National-Sozialistische Partei Deutschlands (NNSPD): This is the party of the former heads of the NSDAP, and the die-hard Nazis. Since they weren't accepted in the new parties, the NNSPD is their haven. They demand a return to the former system. Nothing more to say.
There are more other parties, but they aren't worth mentioning.
