DBWI: 1931 Revolution in Portugal Unsuccessful

What if the 1931 revolution in Portugal had not occurred, and the right-wing military government of Antonio Carmona remained in power?

Does a more, militaristic, right-wing Portugal have less or more of a role to play in international affairs in the 1930's onward? How long could the junta rule? How does a conservative government change Portugal's attitudes towards her colonial empire?

Well I think it's safe to say that Portugal would side with the Axis during WWII, though I'm not sure how that would much they could contribute. How would this effect the Spanish Civil War? If it leads to the Nationalists winning then Spain's going to join the Axis as well and the British can kiss Gibraltar goodbye.

WTF?
Franco DID win the Spanish Civil War!
He correctly assessed that it was not in Spain’s interest or capabilities to become an active Axis ally.

Portugal wouldn’t have been able to contribute much aid to Franco compared to what he was receiving from Mussolini and Hitler.

You may post in fancy text, but you assuredly don't know even the broadest definition of a DBWI.

Man, a hardline right-wing Portuguese government would never let go of Macau, Goa or Angola in a million years.

That's assuming they aren't rolled when they stupidly join up with Hitler in WWII and have their colonies stripped away, of course.
