DBWI: 1877 Compromise

I read that there were talks (alleged) between President-elect Rutherford B Hayes and his Democratic opponent, Samuel J Tilden, during their post-electoral dispute. Furthermore, it said that the talks almost brought Hayes to agree to withdraw troops from the South, in exchange for Tilden conceding.

What if that compromise wnet through? What would have been the effects, on the South and on the rest of the world?

The Radical governments still clinging on in SC and LA would have fallen in 1877 instead of in 1878 and 1880 respectively. Otherwise not enough difference to notice.
