As of the early 2020's, the Discovery Channel airs a good variety of both straight documentaries, more sensationalist docs, and just plain dumb reality shows. The latter started appearing and getting prominent around 2010 or so, but began getting phased out in 2017 onwards with new management that listened to criticisms. However, what if this never happened and DC, Animal Planet, and Science began to become just another History Channel with dumb reality shows about right wing twits?

I think Bill Cosby buying NBC was a hell of a lot worse than what happened to Discovery Communications.
