DBAHC: Screw Myspace

Myspace is still the priemere social space site. How can that role be taken by another site and what potential succesors might take it's place?

Ok. I think I have an idea. Maybe if some website that appealed to teens and college students exclusively, it could work as a platform. In the right hands it could expand. I don’t know who or what would be involved but that demographic seems to be potent for it.

That's basically MySpace's prime demographic. Regardless, Lehman Brothers (Bought out MySpace in 2008) did buy up a few start ups in the past decade; that's how the MySpace app came about, after they bought out some startup by some ex Standford students. I think Evan Spiegel, one of said ex students, is still involved with the company. Perhaps have one of the startups not get bought up, and thus be allowed to develop? A more diverse social media space could be interesting, particularly for politics I think. I remember back during 2012 for George Allen's re-election campaign a lot of people were complaining about the limitations of the platform for political outreach.
