DBAHC: Screw Arab world post Ottomans?

As we all know, the Arab world today is stable under the rule of the Hashemite Empire, a prosperous Constitutional Monarchy that maintains a sphere of influence throughout the Middle East. If we consider the facts, however, we can count ourselves extremely lucky that the Hashemites so successfully filled the power vacuum left by the Ottomans. Much like the rises of Germany and Italy, a united Arabian state might now seem inevitable. How could this have been prevented, and what would the world look like if it had been? I'd say a good way to start would be to have Europe partition the Ottoman Empire, rather than having it fall on its own, but beyond that I don't know.

Maybe the Ottomans becoming part of the Central Powers in WW1 instead of remaining neutral would do the trick? As for an unstable Middle East, it'd probably look much like South Africa after the collapse of the Great South African Republic in the late-1980s with the infamous terrorist group "Boer Army in Transvaal and Natal" being the worst of the lot in South Africa. BTW, do you think the Hashemite Empire is the next superpower as some are suggesting or are the other BAICAR countries (The BAICAR organization is made up of the Brazilian Republic, Hashemite Arabia, the Federated Republics of India, the Republic of China, the Socialist Republic of Argentina, and the Russian Republic) the next superpowers?

Maybe a longer World War I would have brought the Ottoman Empire into the Central Powers. But then again with its financial problems, it would probably have to relinquish Istanbul (Constantinople) to Greece if it ended up on the losing side of that war.

In any case, a surviving Ottoman Empire instead of the Turkish Republic is ASB.

Those were my thoughts as well. OTL the Ottomans sat the war out and managed to stagger on for another two decades before the velvet divorce of the "Arab Spring", which got us the Hashemite Kingdom, Greater Syria, and Palestine (plus the bits of the Mesopotamia Persia picked up). If you want to fuck over the region, instead of having Britain, the US, Russia, and Germany come together to manage the collapse, have them enter WW1, have the CP lose hard (as opposed to OTL's "fuck it" Treaty of Bern) and have the Entente (for whatever reason) get it into their heads to carve the Ottomans up for themselves.
