If Japan intervenes into China into 1910s and prevents consolidation of China, totalitarian regime of Wang Jingwei would not established and China would not ally of Reich. Japanese interventions into weak China make US and UK angry. This will send Japan to German hugs and make Japan part of Axis.

I'm not ready to say for sure about this idea, but I think that creation of Japanese militaristic regime would be associated with 1930-1933 Depression as like rise to power of Hitler in 1933 or Wang Jingwei in 1932
Well.. We need to keep Japan focus on German colonies in pacific instead of sending expeditionary forces to western theatre in WW1. The grueling trench warfare did discredit Militarists.
Occupation of German colonies didn't need many forces. I think that if civil war has begun in China OTL JEF would be intervenes into China
I read this Fujimori book too, but I don't think that its theory is correct and JEF influenced to militarism in Japan. Japanese didn't expand since 1600 to 1880 despite militaristic samurai culture and they stopped expanding after post-revolutionary modernization of China after Revolution that closed way for expansion. Look to Russian Far East into their Civil War and Chinese-American alliance against Japan
