Both fascism and communism are unpopular ideologies, but the general consensus seems to be that communism is the greater of the two evils as of post-SGW. As we all know, The Second Great War was fought between the Allied Powers and the Comintern (comprising of the USSR, People's Republic of Germany, China, Austria, Hungary), the latter intending to destroy capitalism and spread communism across the world. The communist states were extremely brutal and would not allow anything to stand in the way of achieving their goals. How can anyone forget about the horrors of the Great Purge? All those millions of Jews, Turkics, and dissidents massacred in the gulag system? The massacre of the Eastern European Jews perpetrated by the Soviets and Germans? Or all of those innocent Persians the Communists slaughtered during the Caspian War? The Afghan Genocide? The mass killings and rapes of innocent Japanese civilians when the Soviets and Chinese invaded? I could go on and on. Communism ended up becoming an ideology that was 'good on paper' but simply one that can't work in practice. Can't work in the way that it's intended, I mean. I'm aware that the Fascists definitely weren't the most peaceful bunch and they were certainly racist, but they were never a direct threat to us during the Second Great War and were certainly useful in that they assisted the Allies in combating the Comintern/communists. Hell, it could even be argued that the Axis were actually partly the reason for why we're not under red rule, along with the vast resources of the British Empire.

But what if this was different? What if The Second Great War was against fascism, and what if fascism went down as a worse ideology than communism in the aftermath? Discuss.
