DB AHC: Avoid division of HRE between France, Hungary and PLC

DB AHC: Plausibly avoid division of German states between their three neighbors, France, Hungary and Poland-Lithiania. As we all know, the HRE degenerated to the point it was unable to prevent foreign armies wandering back and forth through its territory, and the situation continued until theor neighbors intervened and divided up their lands in three stages.

If the HRE had remained a decentralized realm, then it wouldn't have been seen as such a threat. It was only the centralization of rule under Karl VII Habsburg that led to Thirty-Two Years' War and the Holy Roman Partition.

Perhaps Suleiman the Magnificent gave up his plans of reconquest of Spain for Islam and instead decided to conquer Rome? So he need to destroy Kingdom of Hungary first to protect his flanc.

I just don't see it being possible. Early France was already vastly stronger than Germany - remember the HRE began as the eastern expanse of Charlemagne's French empire, temporarily divided from it by dynastic policies.

The partition was really just Poland and Hungary snatching what they could amidst the imminent conquest of the Empire by the French.

I don't see it, Louis of Hungary is a weak loser, but his uncles in Poland, Lithuania and Moldavia surely will come to help. While John Albert of Poland might not know how to produce a heir, he knows how to win wars and Turks had sort of a complex regarding him since the Moldavian Wars. Which was among the reasons behind the Spanish adventure.

(ooc: in this TL Poles successfully invaded Moldavia and put Sigismund Jagiellon, otl Sigismund the Old, on its throne. And obviously John didn't catch the syphilis and lived to old age)

Have no Danish defeat of the HRE armies in 1766? After all, the fact that Denmark of all people could defeat the HRE showed how weak the HRE really was by then.

That's more of treating a symptom than a cause though. The HRE had been decaying for a while before; even without the Danes to expose the rot, it's not like the Germans would've been able to hold off the Partitioners. I mean, the Emperor was basically elected by Polish, French, and Hungarian wallets by 1700. You'd have to go a bit further back, maybe have the Emperors not waste so much effort on conquering the Italian quagmire and spend the time consolidating their lands.
