Date Masamune Does Not Give in to Toyotomi Hideyoshi's Demands

The Hōjō Clan felt resentment towards the Date Clan after the Siege of Odawara for participating in the siege, instead of somehow helping them. Hideyoshi had no time to deal with the Date Clan, Masamune had no real choice but to give in to Hideyoshi's demands because he was the virtual ruler of Japan. What if the Date and Hōjō would have put aside their differences and possibly worked together? Is it possible the Tokugawa could join in on this alliance?

Sorry if it looks I'm the only person who will respond. The problem it would be a very risky gamble to pull, with very little outside benefits, the Date were a clan in the far north that had engaged in very serious regional struggles, the Hojo the rulers of the plan Kanto plain. The only that seems certain is both clans destruction if they try it, because your banking on the gambit on try to kill or capture Hideyoshi to lift, yet that might throw the country back into general chaos. As for the Tokugawa, it's unlikely Ieyasu was as cautious and patient as they come, he's not going to throw the power he struggled to gain for his clan away unless everything somehow goes to hell.
