I went to the East Point Military Museum recently when i returned to my old hometown of Darwin after 5 yrs, seeing the phenomenal collection of weapons on display there- esp the massive 9.2" coastal gun which, together with the other 2 (which ironically were sold postwar for scrap to a Japanese co.), never fired a shot in anger. Now, what AH scenarios would've been required for these guns to have actually been used ? What say if they'd been installed before 1944, by which time the threat of Jap invasion had receded ?
