Darius I what ifs

What would have happened if these things happened.

A. When Darius is on his way to assassinate Bardiya [1] he is captured before he can do the deed.

B. Darius is overthrown in the aftermath of his attempted coup.

C. Darius retains the Persian throne but several of the provinces (Babylonia, Egypt, Lydia.) are able to break away.

[1] I am assuming that the story of Bardiya being impersonated by a magician is propaganda.

Minor quibble, the claim was that Bardiya was impersonated by a Magus, not a magician. The word magician is ultimately derived from the Persian word, which refers to a priestly caste or tribe.
