Czechoslovakia Stays Tough 1938

Because the Czech dominated Government went out of its way to treat the minority Slovenes, Germans, Hungarians, Ruthenians, and Poles like shit with a few token crumbs for the Slovenes.

Slovenes?

I think you mean Slovaks, as in Czechoslovakia. Although Czechoslovenia would be truly awesome.

*heads to pre-1900*

Isn't there a term called Cisleithenia, or something like that, which more or less means that?

I think Cislithenia would also include Galicia and Dalmatia and any other "Austrian Realm" of the Austro-Hungary Empire(IOTW, all territories out side Translithenia [Hungarian Realm] besides Bosnia-Hercegovina)...

Ah, yes, of course, you are right. I knew there was something more to it, thus the 'more or less' bit.

I did not knew this fact, it is interesting, also would show that Czechoslovakia was a large refugee for politic exilees from Germany and also that not all the population of Sudetenland was so enthusiastic respect to Hitler, How would be the reaction of these if Hitler invades Czechoslovakia?

There is a new Czech documentary about German Czech anti-Henleinists. I can§t remember the name, but when I am back in my flat will try to find more about it. Maybe it will be presented on some festivals.

Very interesting, I think little is written or known popularly about these german anti-nazis in Czechoslovakia, in fact popularly is considered that the most part or even the totality of the germans in Sudetenland would be supporters (passive or active) of a possible german invasion of Czechoslovakia.

Respect to the slovaks, what are their position respect to a possible german invasion of Czechoslovakia? I know that the Hlinka of Tiso more or less had supported a german invasion of Czechoslovakia that had bring them a Slovakia independent under the power of Tiso, but this was a majoritarian position or not within the slovak population of 1938?

Well, HSĽS (I misswrote before, on account of Mečiar), Hlinka's party had slightly less then half of Slovak votes before Munich, afterwards a party of national unity was created (same thing happened in Czechia too). Tiso was the leader of the party at the time. Germany and Italy awarded Hungary a lot of Slovak land, so I doubt that Slovaks were all that happy with that.

As to feeling of population in general, I don't know, I have not read nor know of studies on this theme.
