cut and paste

Does anyone know why this board doesn’t have a cut and paste function? I can highlight text in the reply box with quotes and I can paste text that I have cut from MS Word, but I cannot cut text from the board to paste in MS Word. I don’t like posting anything that I have put through MS Word’s spell checker, but the way this board works it doesn’t look like this is possible if I quote the message I want to reply to.

Try selecting the text and hitting Ctrl-C. That works for me.

Neither Ctrl-c, nor right clicking on the mouse button to bring up the menu box will work. The menu box does not include the cut option. I’ve had this problem on a few other boards so I don’t know if it is with my computer or the way the board is configured.

What about copy-paste?

I think the problem's on your computer, because it works well enough for me.

I can copy-paste from the main display here, but once I hit the button to reply with quotes I cannot cut or copy anything from the text box where you put your reply.

ctrl-c(copy) and ctrl-v(paste) are standard copy paste comands, how come ctrl-x? is that a diferent standard keyboard?
