Culture in a CP Victory TL

Assuming the Germans will have access to the Med thanks to a puppetized France, Italy, Greece and dominance of the Balkan coast (thank you Austria-Hunagry :D) they can stir up trouble with the Arabs, particularly if the French are reduced to a rump state in Algeria.

Well, they're going to have to be careful in how they go about stirring up Arabs, since remember, one of their key allies are the (still intact) Ottomans; it may be they go for a proto-Islamist angle, rather than dabbling in any kind of Arab Nationalism. Actually, now that I think of it, German promoted Proto-Islamism is a pretty fascinating cultural butterfly :)

(Also, Austria-Hungary's technically defunct after awhile, but it's easily a fixable issue for Germany as Austria proper can be absorbed, Hungary can remain an ally, and the Balklands can easily remain dominated -- especially with a comparatively weaker Russia...)

What about religion? In this by avoiding excessive devastation that we saw in WWII. Religion would be more prevalent in Europe. Could we see this reflected in the Art with 'Christan modernism?' or maybe we see the Germans, Italians, and Austrians going on to build cathedrals.

^^That's a good point -- and "Christian Modernism" in that statement could mean either Christian inspired modernist art or Liberal Christianity, and they'd both be likely...

Presumably Kaiser Bill would be a popular monarch in this TL.
...

one of my favorite things of Harry Turtledove's TL 191 was the popularity of "Kaiser Bill" mustaches.

it's fun to visualize this in myriad contexts, e.g., a lawyer presenting to the jury with such facial hair, construction workers, etc.

edit: I haven't read the last two pages of this thread so this post might have been repetitive or redundant.

..... and sporadic terrorist attacks in Ukraine by nationalists.

reminding me of my favorite line from the remake of The Italian Job, where a character says he never messes with "Mother Nature, mothers in law, and motherfreaking Ukrainians."

at the risk of repeating something I haven't read,

is segregation still ongoing in the United States in this TL?

in the United States, a number of things that were squelched by participation in WW2 and/or the Depression (and/or WW1?) included, afaik:

widespread usage of suspenders in fashion

air-races being a big deal

the survival of American luxury car-makers that specialize in over-the-top beasts with ultra-long hoods, V-12 and V-16 motors, et cetera and of the industry of specialist automotive body construction (coach-builders?) that go with that

J. Robert Oppenheimer is merely a brilliant professor who neither becomes a national icon nor is taken down the way he does otl.

The late 19th century belief in "Progress" that is the the conviction that the natural trend in human civilization was one of positive improvement will continue a bit longer. In religion, this expressed itself in the USA in such things as the Prohibition movement and a general trend to liberalism. IOTL this optimism about life was greatly weakened by 1918 and was really over by 1945, expressed in religion (at least in the US) as a growing interest in the end of the world. Of course this only applies to a quick CP win scenario.
