I was thinking in a timeline where CSA survive, more or less with all their territorium intact, and Texas secced later from CSA, would CSA be NA answer to Brazil, while Texas would be the answer to Argentina.
CSA would be country dominated by a small White majority, while a large Coloured and Black minority was de facto second class citizen, the slave would likely be freed rather late, while the economy would be based on mostly on a rather diverse agriculture and raw material industry. Likely they would in the late 19th century early 20th adopted a whitening emigration policy, where they tried to make European immigrant come to CSA, most of the settlers would end up in the north and the highland, while the Deep South would stay very Coloured/Black.
Texas would be dominated by a large White majority, with a few small African and Amerindian minority, it would be very thinly populated and have a economy mostly based on one or primary industries in Texas case cattle and oil. Likely they would adopt a rather open trade policy based mostly on sale of primary product and buying of secondary products. It would be a major immigration country with lot of European settlers.
