I was wondering if anyone has details and/or descriptions of a Royalist French coronation ceremony? Not Napoleonic, but rather Bourbon. The only real idea (and a vague one at that) is the painting of Charles X's coronation in 1824. I've heard the orb doesn't play a role at French coronations - at least, not necessarily the same as in the English ones.
Pictures also welcome.
PS: Sorry if this seems like an odd thread. I likewise am not sure if it's in the right forum (if not, please move it, Moderators), but I figured I'm asking about French coronations (and there hasn't been one since 1824) so pre-1900 fit the bill..
