Crime AH; 'Franco' mafia/gangs?

As we know, a few of our ancestors left Canada/Quebec to work or settle in USA in 19th-20th century. It account maybe for a million of french-canadians maybe 'lost' southward.

So, somewhat silly idea... A lot worked in cities of New England and farther maybe, factories, as shown in Les Tisserands du Pouvoir. A proleteriate, low class peoples, catholics instead of the protestant majority, and so..

i wonder if they can live some more, those 'little Canadas', by example. A French-canadian communauty. And so, perhaps disafrenchised, some would turn to... other ways of earning money.

The dare; make francos-french-canadians something in the history of organised crime and gangsters like Irishes, jews, italians....

Maybe a 'Crazy Tremblay' or 'Swift Gendron' would be spoken of in this TL's version of 1930s or 80s Scarface? :D
