Syko-Elektro:
Has it's foundations in the late 1970s and early 1980s, growing out of Disco, Progressive Rock, and Electronic Music. The Name is an intentional miss spelling of "Psycho" referring to it's Psychedelic qualities, and "Electro" referring to the fact that it's almost entirely Electronic. A Sub-Genre called "Syko-Mudd" was popular in the Early 1990s. It's name refers to the heavily distorted "Muddy" guitar riffs that are one of it's defining characteristics. Syko-Mudd grew out of Seattle, and was noted for it's lyrical themes of social alienation. Syko-Mudd is generally considered to have died out when Kurt Cobain, the popular lead singer of the pioneering Syko-Mudd group Chakra commited suicide in 1995.
