Crassus heeds to the advice of the Armenian king

OTL Marcus Linius Crassus invaded Syria and fought the Parthians and lost. What if he had listened to the Armenian king and took a different route and used the soldiers offered to him? Could another Roman empire have formed out of the middle east as well?

Like Marcus Antonius did?
It did not help him too much.
It was sort of disaster though less than that of Marcus Linius Crassus but still...

What? Antony did himself in by leaving the baggage train miles behind him. Military wise, he would have crushed any Parthian army sent against him.

If Crassus follows the advice though, he could do a lot better. I don't think he necessarily wanted to conquer Parthia, just obtain a few decisive military victories and make some small territorial gains (I can see him trying to annex Egypt on the side).

The Armenian king also offered him 10,000 men, which would be immensely helpful. Crassus is a competent general, and that's all he needs to be to get the couple of victories he needs to secure a triumph and a loyal army.
