CPVDBWI: Best/Better case for Italy in the 1st Great War, and the consequences.

This came into my mind quite recently. Several times I've heard from some people that things could have gone slightly better for Italy during several years after the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk. At least they could have kept Veneto and Libya, they say. Austria-Hungary was obviously very lucky to gain Veneto, but what about Libya ? Although it was on Ottomans' advantage because the populace were roaring for them to come back, weren't the Ottomans only barely able to do that themselves ? Is there any way to keep the Libya away from Ottoman reclamation? Though please, without that Egypt-broke-free/Abbas-got-killed kind of cliches...;)

And if Italy managed to retain Libya, I especially interested in this subject because the effect of no dominant Ottoman presence in north Africa. Say that Germany still became Communist ITTL. Would this lead us to a Communist North Africa ITTL ?

OOC: ITTL, Italy kept only their part of Somalia and the rest of Eritrea (eastern tip of it was ceded along with Djibouti to Germany) as colonies after the war. And also, Tunisia and Morocco were ceded by France to Germany as well.
