So the germans succesfully take Amiens and after american troops arrive they resist all Allied offensives. The B.E.F. is forced to retreat and loses it's capability as a fighting force for some months. The germans advance, public pressure against a war that seems unwinnable begins mounting un the USA... You know the drill. Eventually the Allies accept a Status Quo peace in W. Europe (except for Luxembourg, that get's annexed) and Brest-Litovsk in the East.
The question is, what would have happened with the german colonies? S.W. Africa is lost, as is New Guinea and the Pacific Colonies, but what about Cameroon and East Africa? Maybe Cameroon (the french occupied part at least) could be handled back in exchange for leaving northern France. And in East Africa there were still Ashkaris fighting against the brits. Would Britain give it back to Germany in exchange for retreating from Belgium? The Cape to Cairo is still in their minds: something could be worked with the belgians regarding the Congo (like buying enough land to connect Kenya with the southern colonies, or getting permission to build an extraterritorial railway) after all.
So, what are your thoughts on all that? Which colonies could Germany keep (through diplomacy obviously)? Is what I said about Tanganyika and Cameroon plausible at all?
