CP Victory - does Bulgaria attempt to form Yugoslavia?

In a classic late Central Powers victory [US doesn't enter war, Spring offensive succeeds, Germany still loses colonies, etc] would an expanded Bulgaria attempt to form a Bulgarian centered Yugoslavia?

In the likely case that Austria-Hungary still collapses, Bulgaria will become the largest power in the balkans, so they have the means to accomplish such a feat.

If they did wouldn't they just inherit Austria-Hungary's problems? Trying to govern different ethnic groups who want their own country.

Well it worked quite well with Yugoslavia for a couple decades, why not Bulgaria?

Because Serbs would be a bigger rival then. It would put Croats and Bosniaks on the same camp with the Bulgarians against the Greater-Serbia nationalists within the state. Honestly, a stronger power within Yugoslavia like Bulgarians would have balanced out the Serb dominance.

Good point. I just am trying to find points for Bulgarian expansion after a CP victory and this was the best I had.

It would be though. For example: Central Powers win, Bulgaria annexes Macedonia and Nis. Austria-Hungary collapses in the early 20s when the Emperor fails to reform the dual monarchy in a federation. Hungary goes its own way but now has to face minorities. They lose Serbia and Vojvodina. Bulgaria occupies it to create a friendly neighbour in the West but ends up annexing it. From then on the annexation goes up to Bosnia. After a new World War if possible Croatia and Slovenia are annexed in a Federal Yugoslavia as well. The new Yugoslavia is between Trieste and Edirne.

I do wonder if a Bulgarian led Yugoslavia will go for Dobruja as well even if it is a Bulgarian desire.

Serbia had obvious and loudly declared intentions of taking the Austrian South Slavic lands of the upper Balkans to form a Pan-South Slavic state. Bulgaria, for its part, was content with its concept of Greater Bulgaria, and wasn't interested in forming a Pan-Slavic state. Perhaps a surviving Pan-Slavic Russian Empire might have egged them on, but I don't think Bulgaria would have been willing to come to blows with the Austro-Hungarian Empire or Austrian sphere of influence for the sake of an ethno-nationalist idea they weren't really interested in. Even if Austria-Hungary collapsed (which I don't think it would in all but the most Pyrrhic of Central Powers victory) I doubt Bulgaria would be interested, and would leave it to Croatia, Serbia, and Hungary to fight over the remains.

The answer is no. No one of any note in Bulgaria supported Bulgaria becoming part of Yugoslavia, even in a leadership role (with the possible exception of some Communists, but they would have little hope to seize power in this scenario). What most wanted was for Bulgaria to get what were considered rightful Bulgarian lands, though the extent of these lands was certainly disputed.

If Hungary can't hold on Serbia and Vojvodina (and the Serbians were only a plurality there anyway) why would Bulgaria do any better. More likely is a division along the lines shown here.

The likely scenario is Greater Bulgaria, not Yugoslavia. Possible additions are parts of southern Serbia, parts of Greece, very small part of Romania. The Ottomans (an Ally) will lose nothing. Probably a 50% or so gain in land area and/or population is the maximum likely scenario.
