Courageous in combat

https://www.alternatehistory.com/discussion/showthread.php?t=320854
On 17 September 1939, the carrier HMS Courageous was hit by torpedoes from U 29. After they hit, an explosion was heard and the carrier was crippled by a torpedo [pod]. The other hit the bow, close to the torpedo hit that detonated, but due to some issues, it never exploded [pod]. However, had it detonated, the consequences would have been catastrophic for the carrier. But, as luck had it, it survived. In the meantime, the escorting destroyers landed depth charges that damaged the u boat attacking [u29].
Throughout the night, the carrier was at risk of sinking, but frantic efforts were made to save the ship, which would pay off the next day. Crew members worked frantically to get the ship saved as it was sinking by the bow and under tow, including getting damage control done on certain parts of the ship.
