The crusader county of Edessa manages to survive the siege of 1144 and eventually unites with the Principality of Antioch. Does this combined state mean a more a stronger Frankish presence in northern Syria that is able to capture Aleppo?

Possibly... No Second Crusade, that's for sure. It depends on how the Romans behave I think; if Antioch-Edessa is semi-annexed by Manuel I as Antioch was in OTL, he is perhaps more likely to go after the Turks in central Anatolia in a multi pronged assault- but this is Manuel we're talking about, so taking a rather obscure target such as Aleppo may appeal to his personal vanity.
