I was inspired by Chixculub's County-BAM. I'm using the 2015 Census Bureau map.
Updated Feb. 16, 2019: Added two missing county borders in Texas.
Updated 15 minutes later: Added missing independent cities.
You know, this actually is big enough to add the cities/towns/census areas/etc. to it.
Indeed it is! I've considered it, but I'm not sure about the effort it'd take.
Harder said than done i many cases with the way some U.S. cities are shaped.
It should be easier doing, say, CCDs and MCDs.
The image isnt loading in and personally if someone is willing to do it Id love to see a gigantic township bam
The link has been fixed. Thank you for pointing it out.
Looks like the Virgin Islands are missing
They're right here, next to Puerto Rico.
They’re much larger than that
This is what my basemap shows. Looking closely, turns out some screwery is going on with the big islands. I shall fix this.
The Virgin Islands have now been added.
In case anyone decides to create a 3rd level subdivision version of this map this map might be of some help:
Thanks for the tip! I'm actually using the Census Website and Dave's Redistricting App to make a Census Subdivision BAM. I just have 4 northern Alabama counties finished so far, so needless to say this WILL take a while.
You could make a thread about it so it can be a community project rather then a one man project, it should take less time
Thanks for the tip. I think I might.
I just noticed you missed Dade County: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dade_County,_Georgia
Here's a patch; I'll update the main file accordingly.
Separate names with a comma.
