Could the French resistance have caused a civil war?

I had been reading more into the "French resistance" recently and was surprised at how divided (and how many) groups/factions existed during this period of time, especially with how often various movement groups would be attacking each other for political, ideological, religious, resource etc. reasons. An estimated 20,000 people (less then 1,000 being Germans) were killed during this time due to the in-fighting. The situation got so bad that the Allied High Command was so worried about a potential civil war post Normandy that they gradually halted arms and resource shipments to these various groups.

My question is: Could France have a large-scale civil war post Normandy landings?
If so, how would this affect the war post-Normandy to when Germany surrenders?
What effects would this have on the re-establishment of the French government and trying to re-assert themselves in their colonies? (I'm thinking primarily French Indo-china)
Would this have any lasting effects on the French population at large?
