At 22 of April 1945 and after Steiner declined to attack the Soviets,
General's Wenck 12th army became Berlin's last hope,
Wenck until then had been fighting the Americans but because the front were so close he was able to turn around and surprise the Soviets making some initial gains....
He recognised that saving the city was impossible so he moved his army in the forest of Halbe to form up a corridor so citizens and soldiers from Berlin could go across the Elbe and surrender to the Americans instead of the Soviets....
He saved 250000 refugees this way including 25000 soldiers of the 9th army....
This is what happened OTL....
Could Wenck delay the soviets enough if he commits all his resources to have the city surrrender to the Americans?
Would the Americans even accept this or was a deal that Berlin belongs to the Soviets?
