To what end?Just what it says. Could the Giant Spider Crab be feasibly domesticated in Ancient and/or Medieval Japan?

It's likely this won't be an issue because we seem to be able to catch them with nets today like in normal (crab) fishing. They live too far out to sea and in deep water for anyone to be around them enough for domestication to occur.

Exactly. Why domesticate something you can so easily catch? How much did the ancient Japanese even know about how to breed crabs, especially crabs which won't breed unless kept at the cool temperatures found on the seafloor. Any knowledge on how to breed crabs would be better served breeding other sorts of shellfish. It's likely this won't be an issue because we seem to be able to catch them with nets today like in normal (crab) fishing.
