Could incorporating Austria into Germany via war still be called Anschluss?

Question for our German speakers, does the term "Anschluss War" sound natural? Or is there another term that would better describe such war?

Depends on the context. Theoretically it is okay. Anschluss Krieg sound a bit weird but it could work. It really depends on the context of the war. Where, when and against who?

Well, it's still 1938 and III Reich is still involved, so there could be two main scenarios:
1. Austria resists, but remains unsupported, German military rolls over them.
2. Austria resists and the Entente supports them, German military stalls and eventually is forced out of Austria.

A war begun for incorporating Austria into Germany or with this result could well be called "Anschluss Krieg".
Maybe a war prior to another "Great" aka World War ?

Though ... it has also a "timey" sound, like the Continuation War ("Fortsetzungskrieg") between Finnland and the SU.

It depends also on who is using the term afterwards. The winners, the opponents or some historians generations later.
The winners might call it the "Vereinigungskrieg" (Unification War), the loosers (some exiled ex.austrians) might call it the "Unterdrückungskrieg" (Suppression War) i.e..

Edit :
At 2. : for the Austrians it would then be the "Widerstandskrieg" (Resistence War).
