Could Greek fire lead to gunpowder?

Myself I question the ultimate impact of cannons even the GTB on the outcome in 1453. Didn't they get in via gate left unlocked?

Actually it's knights charge into cannon, cannon crew dies because it can only be fired every 20-30 minutes.

A case of video game logic being truth in television.

Constantinople was sieged 16 times. Only 2 of them were successful, and only 1 of those was without cannons.

Umm in OTL had the Byzantines have more men.... I doubt Constantinople would have fallen, listen Mehmet had over 200000 troops and a ottoman navy of 200 ships yet suffere dheavy casulties in face Constanine XI would have been succesful in reppeling Mehmet had the Genoese mecinaries held their ground... In otl their captain died and they broke ranks screwing Constantinople although the Romans came close to victory.. The BN succesfull cutoff the Main Ottoman fleet that suffered heavy cssualties against 4 galleys and a long chain(lolololol) Hope that clears rings up on the siege...
