This is a TL I began writing a few months ago thought I'd post it up. At first I'm gonna start you with a lead in to how history has progressively changed from our history. Once I'm finished with that I will start the TL which will be wrote in the format of various narrative stories. I hope you enjoy. Oh by the way here's a teaser.... due to a more devastating WWII the U.S. has a very heavy handed military-industrial complex that leads to heightened Cold War and eventually WWIII in the late 80's. Be shocked and be ready to say what the fuck.

History of the World: Part 1.
WWII took a decisive turn for the worst for the Allies in 1941. When Hitler started Operation Barbarossa, the offensive into the U.S.S.R. He originally planned to attack from the Baltic to the Black Sea but under pressure by his staff he saw this could lead to disaster. Instead he came up with a bold new plan. Attack the Soviets to the north with a small but powerful force to distract them. Then come in swiftly through the south and capture Stalingrad. The German forces quickly pushed through the Ukraine and into southwestern Russia. Going into 1943 German forces had nearly controlled all of Stalingrad only a few pockets of resisting partisans and soldiers remained. Finally in March Stalingrad was under complete Nazi control. Hitler made plans for a push north to secure Moscow and end the war in the east. But to his surprise during the fighting in the south Stalin had managed to muster up a large force to defend Moscow and retake the South. The new Soviet forces were like the immovable object to Hitler's unstoppable force. Due to the new break through by Soviet forces. The Allied commanders decided that it was keen to end this war as fast as possible. In July the Allies stormed Sicily and then the Italian Peninsula in one of the largest Allied invasions of the war. By late 1944 the entire Italian Peninsula was almost completely controlled by Allied forces. The campaign was very deadly for the Americans who supplied the bulk of the man power of the campaign. By this time Soviets had mostly recaptured the south including the devastated Stalingrad and initiated Operation Bagration. Their plan was to push the German army back to Berlin. In the following months Allied forces initiated several campaigns to liberate Berlin as well as France and other occupied countries. Finally in May of 1945 Berlin was encircled by Allied armies and Hitler as well as all other Nazi commanders were captured. All were punished to a firing squad in the historic Nuremberg Trials. And Germany was partitioned into West and East Germany with Allied and Warsaw Pact control over the respected areas....To be continued.
