A blend of Scot, and french. The original Scottish settlers took on the Acadien name to ease tensions, but still call the land Nova Scotia. The first British colony to obtain Responsible government in 1782.
A diverse economy, with high focuses in, shipping, banking, energy, education, high automation manufacturing, ship building. A member of the Confederation of the Canadas, and member of the Imperial Parliamentary.
