Truth to be told, contrary to popular beliefs, the religion of Islam is not immune to be broken down into various denominations. As time goes by, the claims that Islam only had two major denominations, which is the Ahl As-Sunnah, mostly called as the "Sunnis", and the Shīʻatu ʻAlī, mostly called as the "Shiites". Although the concept of Sufism followed behind, none could challenge on how the Salazari denomination managed to twist, and change the outcome of history for days, weeks, and ages to come, as on how irony managed to show its very form, in form of the Malaio Empire that now served as a testament of such irony. Spanning from Nova Alentejo(1) in the west, to Rio Capos(2) in the east, speaking a distinct and foreign language when compared to its neighbors, and ruled by men whom physical features will baffle, and confuse many. This, however is not the legendary Prester John's kingdom, as the Malaio Empire worshipped the very, same god that their ancestors fought to drive out from their homeland. Following the Salazari denomination of Islam, that they themselves gave birth to, the Malaio Empire have seen its bad, and good times, with the 1700's began to place them as one of the powerhouses of the region.

Potrait of Adao Salazar, the founder of the Salazari movement-and later denomination, on a unknown date.
The Salazari denomination itself were something but a enigma. Branding Takfirism, Sufism, and Salafism as a something just as bad as heresy, coupled with its different view, and approach to the concept of Jihad(3), the Salazari denomination managed to alienate itself from the Sunnis, while ironically somehow creating a uneasy, yet tight bond of friendship with the Shiites. Compared to the other denominations, the Salazari saw Itjihad as one of the inner core of its teachings, as knowledge, according to Salazar, in his book, Testamento da Fe (Testament of the Faith), is the only way man could reach Allah. Freedom is also one of the main concept of the Salazari teaching, as signs of Arabic culture thrown into the melting pot is rarely seen, with Portuguese culture are still kept held on at its best. This such attitude, however, were the main cause, of the neverending wars and battles that plagued the empire-up until the modern era.

The fact that these very men were descendants of the men who drove out the Andalusians from the Iberian peninsulla, further heightens the irony, and yet, these very men, the rulers of the Malaio Empire, strangely claims the throne of Lisbon, which is a fact worthy to be remembered.

Potrait of Alfonso Lopes Da Costa, or known as Alfonso I of Malaio, the first ruler of the Malaio Empire.
All starts when the Portuguese Empire decided to capture Malacca, and establishes a short-living domination over the populace of Malaya. All starts from that very point, where the entry of the western world to Southeast asia, managed to blend itself with Islam...

Rio Malaca, today.
1516-1519
The greed for gold, and the desires of gospel sent the Portuguese Empire on a journey to the east, where their hopes for a land, that will grant them riches unimaginable to man, which also grants them the keys for heavens, as they worked hard to bring the gospel overseas. This, led into Alfonso Alburqurque's journey to the Malayan lands, where on 1511, he captured Malacca, the capital of the Malaccan Sultanate, which also serves as the region's hotspot of trade. This act, however, managed to incur the wrath of the Malaccan Sultanate's surrounding neighbors, especially the Ming Dynasty, as the Ming Dynasty were the main powerhouse of the region, and were the ones supposed to receive tribute from the Malaccan Sultanate. For more than years, the Portuguese Malaccan territory were a hotbed of blockades, and attacks, earning Manuel I of Portugal's attention, as he believed that the center of the trouble is none other than the Ming Dynasty, whom wanted to free the Malaccans from the Portuguese control.

Sending Tome Pires, a daring, eager apothecary of the royal court to the east, as a part of a envoy that will determine the fate of the Portuguese Empire in Asia. However, Manuel I had his other, plans. Arriving on Canton, Tome Pires managed to find his way to the Zhengde Emperor, bringing the message from Manuel I. Already angry at the Portuguese Empire, the Zhengde Emperor quickly sent the envoy to the deep, dark dungeons of the palace, which is a clear sign that the wrath of the Ming Dynasty shall incur over the Portuguese Empire soon enough. Thrown into the cells, Tome Pires, and his compatriots waits for their deaths, as they knew that freedom is obiviously out from the question.

Unknown to the Zhengde Emperor, Pires, and even to the world itself, Pires's stay at the dungeons of the Zhengde Emperor is the one who brought Islam to the Portuguese authority on Malacca, which is something rather ironic, considering Islam is basically the native populace of Malacca's main, and only known religion. For minutes, hours, days, weeks, Pires and his men endured countless of torture sessions, with each month saw one by one, Pires's men dying. Yet, somehow, Pires's fear were not elevated, as for every night, he waited for the soothing words that the prison warden muttered. Making an a uneasy bond with the warden, Pires began to ask the warden, regarding those very words. For all of his life, Pires have been told that the religion of Islam were nothing but a scourge, and now, Pires seen differently. Pires seen that Islam is all about from who, and what it was intrepreted from, and for him, the east have destroyed the very common core of Islam itself, slowly leading him to believe that only the west, the people of Europa, is the only beings who truly able to carry out the words of Allah, and prophet Mohammed.

By mid 1519, Pires, and four of his men, whom is the only remaining occupants of his cell, converted to Islam(POD), and the news quickly made its way to the Zhengde Emperor. Seeing this as a chance to plant a mole, and a walking timebomb among the Portuguese authority on Malacca, the Zhengde Emperor frees Pires, and his men, and brought them into the court, where they talked about the possibilities of Pires being a spy, and a saboteur for the Ming Dynasty. Seeing this as a ticket back home, Pires agrees, despite the Zhengde Emperor only promised him riches, which is something Pires does not care about.
