Continuation: Indo-Pakistani War in 2002?

A continuation of this thread from the beginning of this year (since it's already too old to be bumped): https://www.alternatehistory.com/forum/threads/wi-indo-pakistani-war-in-2002.459815/

So, the consensus seems to be that Pakistan, in the event of a nuclear war with India during the 2001-2002 crisis, would be utterly wrecked and likely balkanized. If Pakistan just vanishes, would the Taliban and other jihadist groups be strengthened? Could it be enough to force Bush Jr. to focus his "war on terror" effort on completing the job in Afghanistan (if it can be completed as the region would have been thrown into chaos) before moving on to Iraq?
What about Pakistani refugees?

The I-P war would have butterflied away 9/11 and the second Iraq war since the US and the Taliban would focus on containing the Situation. I can see the US drawing closee to Russia to contain China in this scenario

Also, the expulsion of Indian migrant workers from the Gulf states may lead to problems there

The terrorist attacks on the Indian Parliament and Kashmiri Assembly that escalated the Indo-Pakistani crisis in the first place had happened after 9/11, however. I can still see the US public thirsting for some sort of justice.
