Constantine Endorses Mithrasim Rather Than Christianity

The Point of Divergence ... One of the events that helped shaped the modern world was in 313 AD, when Constantine endorsed the small movement of Christianity. Constantine issued an edict that protected the worship and religion of all peoples, including Christianity. People say his mother Helena had a huge influence on her son's conversion, and she was one of the main reasons Christianity won over her son. He in turn built many basilicas and churches across the Roman Empire, and when he began constructing Constantinople in the years 324 - 330 AD, he used exclusively Christianity inspired architecture. By the time of his death in 337 AD, he had firmly established Christianity as the religion of the Holy Roman Empire, and laid the roots for the Catholic Church to become a superpower in the ensuing centuries.

But what if Constantine had endorsed another religion rather than Christianity? One of the other prominent cults at the time in Rome and the Roman Empire was the worship of Mithras. What if Constantine had chosen to embrace the worship of Mithras rather than the worship of Christ, and how would this have changed the face of the world today?

Isn't the cult of Mithras a male only one? Like Isis for women.
There are some similarities of their organisation that suggest influence on the post Constantine Church.
