Consequences of a Chavacano speaking Mindanao

This is a possibility after 1900, if the Americans did not settle Mindanao as there were a lot of Chavacano speakers and Cebuano and Illonggo speakers were settled to Mindanao and even settlers from Luzon also went to Mindanao, although a Pre-1900 POD is possible, this is possible due to Mindanao having many variants of Chavacano.

What if Chavacano speakers are the Majority in Mindanao instead of Cebuano Speakers because there were no Cebuano and Illonggo settlers or if the settlers to Mindanao assimilated to the Chavacanos, what would happen to Mindanao if it is Chavacano speaking?

Spanish remains language? Philippine protectorate? Spanish in education, then basically Spanish Lingua Franca between settlers local language and natives... hmmm

Technically imo still united Philippines

if not then Aguinaldo government gets recognition
Actually, it is also possible if the Americans did not resettle Mindanao with Cebuanos and Illonggos en masse and not kill Mindanaoans and have Chavacano speakers increase their population instead.

If Aguinaldo government, no US invasion then basically earlier tapping of resources and development. Probably Settlers and Businesses and companies go in and tap resources, establish mines plantations farms etc. Build roads and rails.

Basically like tensions between Muslims and Christians go up earlier probably. Due to land grabbing etc. Probably the elites would do fine and like cooperate with them. But some Moro fanatics might see this as red flag and have a worse Moro rebellion. due to worse treatment probably, also less resources to subjegate them and supress any future rebellion.

Technically Muslims would mainly depend their eco it seems like on mainly rubber, and pearling

Aguinaldo is a pre-1900 POD but a Post 1900 POD is possible, wherein Quezon and Osmena do not encourage Cebuano and Ilonggo settlers in Mindanao would mean that the Chavacano might remain a majority language in Mindanao and not give way to Ilonggo and Cebuano. Davao, Zamboanga, and Cotabato were Chavacano speaking as far as I have heard, which I suspect it might have spread in Mindanao without the Cebuano and Ilonggo settlers.

Never heard of the tribe named Mindanaoans, Technically Lingua franca as Spanish would have likely created creole languages . Add in like strwdy supply of Settlers and missionaries also schools would have thought the natives how to read Write count in Spanish.

This would be possible either Independent republic mainly imo a functional one under Aguinaldo, or Protectorate which has not abolished Spanish as lingua franca.

The peasant colonixaton. scheme was made due to basically populate and make Mindanao more productive and develop it. I haven't heard of those basically murdering Mindanaoans en masse.

Pre 1900s forum so...

Basically if u want a US Philippine then go for the protectorate.option. Aguinaldo government accepts offer. Or like earlier transitional government ala commonwealth. it would have been possible like stayed Spanish as lingua franca and official language. Meaning Cebuanos and Illongos speaks Spanish and probably like mix some of their words there also natives. More missionaries, schools settlers etc

I meant to say the people native in Mindanao, the native Christians in Mindanao, either spoken Southern Visayan Languages( the speakers of Surigaonon and Butuanon), Mansakan or Chavacano, the Government after the Americans could have favored them instead of settling people from the Visayas and further North.

I created a Post 1900 thread for this topic.

Well technically most of Mindanao is unpopulated, and it's just idle land, no one owns or like claim that huge tracts of land. During that time. And there are like people who want land at the more populated parts so government does something like give companies and businesses both foreign and local, like Rubber plantations in Basilan and Zamboanga iirc, Banana farmers and fruit companies banana bonanza at Davao and mining in mainly Caraga other concessions etc etc aside from a homesteading peasant colonization scheme at Mindanao.

Americans basically it seems like hit 2 birds in one stone

That is similar to the Transmigration policies of Indonesia.

you can say that, idk about that, mainly what I'm saying up

technically it spurred development also, and incentives etc etc opportunities. If no settlers like Let's say from Visayas and Mindanao then like poorer Mindanao probably less developed.

Poorer but remains more native as well.

I'm toying with an idea about a Philippine civil war basically a Luzon held by Katipunan radicals, meanwhile Visayas is like Moderate revolutionaries, Mindanao either stays under the Moderates or declares independence. If declares independence then Mindanao becomes either a a Kuwait or a Banana republic. Also not much settler probably

What I understand about chavacano is that it can be like a creole language of Spanish and slash insert any native Filipino language @kasumigenx . So a Chavacano dialect of Cebuano and Illongo would definitely been possible or any other language if different people had went in and settled at the peasant colonization scheme. Or even like Japanese Indian Chinese Japanese or other indentured servants going there even.

Mindanao non-Muslim natives weren't sedentary ethnic groups that were capable of working in sedentary agricultural jobs like rice, corn, banana, abaca, or cacao farming, so the Americans or the Spaniards (had they remained in PH for another 25-50 years) would have still recruited migrants from the Visayas and Luzon to populate and cultivate fertile lands in Mindanao.

If Chavacano varieties in Cotabato and Davao survive, then they would have decreolized through dialectal leveling that would have converged all Chavacano varieties in Mindanao into the standard Spanish if the latter is still taught in the public school system.

Perhaps Mindanao can be settled by Chinese fleeing from Communist China and Qing instead.

Weren't the Lumads like the Tboli and Blaan agriculturalists?
