Confederates/Lost Causers carve out a territory in Latin America to contnue.

What if some Filibuster-minded Ex-Confederates try to carve out a territory in Latin America to desperately fight on ? Maybe in a balkanized Civil War Mexico? or in slaver imperial Brazil, where a considerable ammount of Ex-greycoats went ?
Or a William Walker like Filibuster state preexisting before th ACW serves as a base for greycoats .

None of the Latin American republics were that weak,

None of the Latin American republics were that weak in the 1860s, and the US would undoubtedly provide whatever support needed to prevent anything along these lines, as the US did for Juarez' government against the French and the Mexican Conservatives, historically.

Best,

I don't think it's practical because most of them had too many ties to land and way of life. It might be possible for some troops and families to establish a presence somewhere in latin America or the Caribean, but they'd basically just be emigres. It wouldn't really be continuing the war.

Most timelines with an independent Texas have it taking that role - getting an influx of Confederate immigrants after they lose the Civil War. I recommend (sadly unfinished) The Stars At Night timeline on this very website.
