Confederates Flee

WI, for some reason, top C.S.A. officials, like Jefferson Davis, flee the South in 1865. They escape by going through Mexico to a freindly town.

Where do they go?
What do they do? New goverment, attempt revolution, or what?

Really their only option is to flee to some country that would take them, most likely Brazil, as several former Confederates did in OTL. South Africa is a possibility, but it is both distant and, despite its well known history of racism, non-slaveholding. Further, assuming relations between the U.S. and Great Britain don't go completely down the toilet, the U.S. might convince Britain to extradite them from its colony.

Any attempt at forming a shadow government or attempting to foment further revolution just wouldn't be feasible.
