The Mega-TL of the Confederate States of America! This will discuss everything about an alternate American Civil War and how it could have affected the world. All ideas welcome!

1-Will you could have a timeline that has Lincoln assassinated.

2-Have Gettysburg going to the Confederates or really any key battle of the war.

As a start and see how it goes. However if you do kill off Lincoln it should be after a big loss so the north is more likely to call for an end to the war. I'm sure had a few things gone the other way the south could have won at Gettysburg and thus the war soon after.

You are welcome to make a post on this forum about that. Me personally, I think that he wouldnt be assassinated. I see the south winning at Gettysburg and Antietam. Then McClellan is elected president in 1864 (there isnt a National Union Party in this TL, and Johnson supports McClellan in 1864.

I would go with Antietam if for nothing else due to the fact that it sounds like a much better POD for the timeline. But that's just me. He could also have the European powers enter the war but that may be a bit overused. Unless you have them join both sides so it's more like a small world war.

Braxton Bragg accepts command of the Army of the West. Shortly after Van Dorn gets the corp command that went to Bragg OTL.

Battle of Pea Ridge starts as historic.
Bragg elects to only send Pike’s unit down Cross Timber Hollow the disrupt the rear. The bulk of his forces attack Leetown (Price) or move along Ford Road towards Elkhorn Tavern (McCullough).
He also uses his unbrigaded troops and a couple cannon to demonstrate across Sugar Creek before dawn and keep US troops in place a little longer than OTL.
Plus he brings the ammunition train with him.

Net result: Major CSA victory with a large numer of POWs and equipment captured as Curtis is forced to retreat East down primative roads.

After effects: US troops are quickly shuffled to Missouri reducing the size of the Union army at alt Shiloh.
