I'm trying to work on a timeline where George Gould successfully completes the Wabash Pittsburgh Terminal railroad and creates the first true transcontinental railroad network in the US. The only thing I see for this to work is if there is no Panic of 1907 (That and he manages construction and investment a little better).
What I need to do to successfully make this work is find a logical reason for this to happen, but I'm drawing a blank. Also, what could other outcomes be if there was no Panic of 1907? Would a bigger, possibly earlier depression happen?
